Mind Slayer
Dnd Mind Slayer Race
The Mind Slayers, also known as Illithids, are a terrifying and alien race of psionic beings. They originate from the distant planet Zerathuun, a world that exists entirely under their domination. With their pale skin, tentacled faces, and overwhelming mental powers, they are masters of domination and manipulation.
Once they ruled from the shadows, but those days are long gone. The Mind Slayers now reign openly.
Planet Zerathuun
Zerathuun is a world that lives and breathes under Illithid control. The planet serves as the heart of their empire, a breeding ground for psionic experiments, dominance and arcane knowledge. Other races, such as the Zerathuuni, are nothing more than servants here, broken, reconditioned, or fully assimilated.
The Mind Slayers use Zerathuun as a staging ground for their plans to subjugate other worlds.
Overlords
The Illithids rule through absolute mental domination. Individual will means nothing to them; everything exists to serve the collective. Magic, knowledge, and living beings are treated as resources. Escape from their influence is rare, and those who manage it are hunted without mercy.
Appearance
Mind Slayers are tall, gaunt humanoids with smooth, pallid skin and heads dominated by four writhing tentacles surrounding a toothless mouth. Their eyes are cold and empty, yet anyone who meets their gaze can feel the crushing pressure of their presence, as if their thoughts no longer belong to them.
Drak’zuhl
A notorious Mind Slayer enforcer and hunter, Drak’zuhl is tasked with tracking down escaped creatures from other races and eliminating threats to Illithid supremacy. He has recently been sighted in your D&D world, pursuing a fugitive, and possibly something far more dangerous.
The Elder Brain
At the pinnacle of Mind Slayer society is an ancient and malevolent entity known as Xul’thekar, the Elder Brain. This immense, pulsating mass of brain tissue commands the Illithid collective through pure psionic force. Xul’thekar does not see your world as a coincidence, but as a strategic target in the next phase of their expansion.
