Goliath

DnD Goliaths Race

High in the snow-capped mountain peaks, where the air is thin and the wind howls, live the Goliaths: towering nomads of stone and muscle. They are rare in the civilized world reclusive, proud, and shaped by a life of cold, hardship, and constant competition.

Driven by Achievement

For Goliaths, every day is a challenge. Food, water, and shelter are scarce at great heights, and only the strongest survive. Self-reliance and personal achievement are central to their culture. They measure their worth by their deeds, keep score of their accomplishments, and constantly strive to outdo themselves sometimes to their own downfall.

Honor Above All

Goliaths believe in a level playing field. Magical tools or social status mean little to them. They despise systems where power is unearned, such as hereditary nobility or wealth without skill. Those who do not contribute are not counted among them.

Harsh but Fair

Those who lose their strength lose their place in the tribe. Goliaths care for the injured, but permanent weakness often leads to exile or self-sacrifice. They prefer an honorable death over a slow decline explaining why old Goliaths are so rare.

Leaders Without Time

Because of their recklessness, few Goliaths live to old age. Wisdom must come naturally, for experience is scarce. Still, they remain true to their core values: strength, justice, and the eternal pursuit of improvement.
