Vulpin
D&D Vulpin Race
Vulpin
The Vulpin are cunning, fox-like beings with sharp minds and agile bodies. They walk upright like humans and live in harmony with nature. Known for their cleverness and adaptability, they are both resourceful and charming, often serving as diplomats, scouts, or strategists in their communities.
Minotaur
The Minotaurs, their close neighbors and allies, are imposing beings with the build and strength of cattle. The males resemble bulls, while the females are more like upright-walking cows. They possess great physical strength and a proud, steadfast character.
Vulpin and Minotaur
Both races inhabit the fertile land of Hornstead, a vast region of rolling fields, dense forests, and blooming farms. Hornstead is famous for its rich agriculture, colorful village festivals, and especially the quinquennial Thaurak Country Fair the largest and most celebrated event in the land.
The Thaurak Country Fair
This enormous fair is a lively celebration of Hornstead’s culture, agriculture, and martial prowess. Visitors from all over the world come to witness the two main competitions:
The Minotaur Battles Here, both male and female Minotaurs fight in an arena, similar to a boxing match, to determine who is the strongest. These battles are held in honor of Thaurak, the god of combat, who is revered by the Minotaurs.
The Great Vegetable Contest This competition showcases the largest, tastiest, or most unusual vegetables, a favorite event of the Vulpin. The winner not only receives a prize but also great honor within the community.
Queen Sylthara
Hornstead is ruled with care and wisdom by Queen Sylthara, a loving, elderly Vulpin with a big heart for her people. Despite her age, she remains sharp-minded and beloved by both Vulpin and Minotaurs. During the Thaurak Fair, she personally awards the prizes to the winners a moment of great honor. She often wears a gown made of silk and leaves, adorned with symbols of peace and unity between the races.
A Land of Wonders
Hornstead is known not only for its traditions but also for its peculiar agricultural products and extraordinary farm animals. Flying pigs with soft wings, milk-laying chickens, and self-burying carrots are not uncommon. It is a land where magic and nature go hand in hand, and where community, honor, and festivity form the heart of society.
