Bug bear
D&D Bugbear Race

Bugbears primarily live in dense forests and are spread across many regions in the world of Dungeons & Dragons. They settle in small, primitive camps or caves built from wood, bones, and animal hides. These camps are rough but functional, and are often well-hidden among the trees and undergrowth.
Hierarchy
Within each camp, a strict hierarchy is maintained. At the top stands a leader known as a Howler. This title is not only a mark of authority but also a reference to the terrifying howl the leader uses to assert their presence.
Temperament
Bugbears are predators and fighters, which often brings them into conflict with other races. They are aggressive, distrustful, and often believe that strength gives them the right to rule. Their carnivorous nature reinforces their savage reputation.
Appearance
In terms of looks, Bugbears resemble a cross between a bear and a wolf. Their fierce appearance reflects their harsh lifestyle. Sometimes, they share their camps with wolfborn—creatures with similarly animalistic, often wolf-like traits. However, this cooperation rarely goes smoothly. Because of their similarities, rivalry and distrust often arise between the two groups.
