Dis is a sprawl­ing, night­mar­ish metrop­o­lis of red-hot iron, dark stone tow­ers, and labyrinthine, smoky streets. It is char­ac­ter­ized by per­pet­u­al, intense heat, chok­ing air filled with ash, and sur­re­al, dis­tort­ed archi­tec­ture.
