Platypusfolk
Dnd Platypusfolk Race
The Platypusfolk are a unique, water-loving race that strongly resemble platypuses. They primarily live along the banks of rivers and lakes in Dambo, where they dig underground burrows and live in harmony with nature. Their lives revolve largely around water, where they are renowned as exceptional swimmers.
Appearance & Nature
Platypusfolk usually have thick brown fur with a golden belly, a broad flat tail, and a characteristic bill. Some Platypusfolk, however, are entirely blue with an orange bill and tail a rare and highly valued sight within their community. They are agile, alert, and possess exceptional hunting instincts. Thanks to electro-receptors in their bills, they can detect electrical signals in the water, allowing them to locate prey even in murky conditions with pinpoint accuracy.
Spies
They are primarily nocturnal hunters, preying on crayfish, worms, insects, and small fish. Outside the water, they are thoughtful and reserved, but under the right circumstances, they can be surprisingly cunning and witty traits that make some of them excellent spies.
Mokkelmoer
The Platypusfolk are mostly settled in Mokkelmoer, a marshy and mysterious region of Dambo, where babbling rivers, winding waterways, and quiet ponds form their home. Mokkelmoer is known for its peaceful atmosphere and hidden paths that only the local inhabitants seem to know.
King Perry
Their leader is King Perry, a legendary blue-colored Platypusfolk and former master spy. Though now retired, he remains sharp-minded and deeply invested in the well-being of his people. Beneath his serious gaze lies a kind-hearted and protective leader, always ready to help the peoples of Dambo in times of need.
