Dnd Warforged & Autognome Race

Warforged and Autognomes are artificial beings, usually made from metal, wood, and magical components. They are not born but created brought to life by a power stone or magical energy placed within their core. Each of them has a Creator: a wizard, inventor, or other expert who made their existence possible.

Warforged

Warforged are typically built for a single purpose: war, protection, or physical labor. They are designed to be strong, resilient, and loyal. Many serve as bodyguards, soldiers, or sentinels, equipped with built-in weapons or armored plating.

Autognome

Autognomes, on the other hand, are usually smaller and more delicately constructed. They are designed for domestic tasks, assistance, and specialized work. Think of roles such as butler, cleaner, archivist, or companion. Their mechanical precision and reliability make them perfectly suited for these functions.

Wealth

Because creating a Warforged or Autognome requires immense knowledge, time, and resources, they are usually made only by wealthy, influential, or brilliant individuals. Only those with sufficient wealth or technical/magical expertise can afford to commission one of these rare constructs.

Free Will

Although they were originally regarded as property, some Warforged and Autognomes develop their own consciousness, personality, and even free will. Some leave their Creators to follow their own path seeking meaning, identity, or a purpose beyond their original design.
