Order of the Roll - Dungeons and Dragons Tabaxi - Order of the Roll

Tabaxi

DnD Tabaxi Race

Appearance and Traits

The Tabaxi are a feline people who closely resemble domestic cats in appearance. They can have any possible coat color and pattern, just like ordinary cats. Unlike animals, however, Tabaxi walk upright though they remain about the same size as a housecat. This makes them smaller than most other races, but they are quick, agile, and surprisingly resourceful.

Homeland: Katzenstahl

They live in the land of Katzenstahl, a kingdom that still resembles a medieval society. Tabaxi are generally a peaceful folk: those who leave them in peace receive the same in return.

Leadership

The kingdom is ruled by King Baldemar, a wise and respected leader. Baldemar is a proud, white Tabaxi who wears a golden crown and resides in an impressive castle. Many Tabaxi follow him loyally, though there are also opponents who challenge his rule.

The Evil Cat: Octavian

The greatest threat comes from Octavian, better known as the Evil Kat. Octavian is a hairless cat with an eyepatch and a strikingly cross-eyed appearance. He is ambitious and ruthless, seeking to claim the throne of Katzenstahl for himself. His plans go further still: Octavian also aims to conquer the neighboring human land of Red Iron. To achieve this, he is raising an army of monsters and hunting for a powerful artifact that shares the same name Red Iron.

Ongoing Threat

Octavian and his followers wreak havoc across Katzenstahl. His hunger for power and magic poses a constant danger not only to the Tabaxi kingdom but also to the surrounding lands. The Evil Kat even has his own banner, carried by his followers as a symbol of loyalty and menace. This flag displays his face with an eyepatch, crossed swords, and a red stripe symbolizing war and blood. The sight of this banner spreads fear among the Tabaxi and their allies.
