Tortle

Dnd Tortle Race

The Tortle are a peaceful yet powerful race of turtle-like beings who live in deep harmony with nature. Their appearance is imposing: a sturdy shell, strong limbs, and wise eyes that seem to reflect centuries of knowledge. Despite their cumbersome look, Tortle are surprisingly agile masters of subtle movements and quiet strength. Like the Badgerfolk and the Owlin, they follow the path of the ninja: discipline, dedication, and inner peace are central to their way of life.

The Green Flow

Tortle are deeply connected to the life force of nature, which they call the Green Flow. This flow nourishes their magic and strengthens their bodies, allowing them to make plants grow, manipulate the earth, and heal using the power of the forest. They use their gifts not for war, but for protection, healing, and maintaining balance.

Kamegashima

Most Tortle live in the fertile region of Kamegashima, one of the three major regions of Sanjū Shima. It is a lush land full of ancient trees, waterfalls, hot springs, and hidden gardens.

At the heart of this region resides Hachi, one of the three dojo masters of the island. Hachi is a wise, patient leader, believed to be over two hundred years old. He guides his people with gentleness, yet is a master of defense and earth magic.

Natural Balance

If the Tortle were ever to win the struggle over Sanjū Shima, they would dedicate the land to restoring natural balance. No war, no domination only growth, peace, and harmony. They believe the land has been corrupted by the dark magic of the Owlin and the ongoing conflict. Under Hachi’s guidance, Sanjū Shima could flourish once more.

The Strength of the Tortle

Though peaceful, no one should underestimate the Tortle’s strength. In times of need, they defend their people with impressive control of nature magic, silent tactics, and ancient martial arts. They are known for their patience on the battlefield watching, observing, and striking at the perfect moment.

Sanjū Shima

Together with the Badgerfolk and the Owlin, the Tortle are part of the ancient balance of Sanjū Shima. Each people contributes its own vision, strength, and role. Yet the struggle over who will guard that balance is far from over.
